Type (Accelerometers, Displacement Sensor)
Vibration sensor market from the accelerometers segment is expected to hold 54% of the revenue share during the forecast period. This high adoption rate of accelerometers in several sectors, including industrial, consumer electronics, and automotive, is responsible for the large share. Additionally, a number of market players, such as Hansford Sensor and Robert Bosch LLC, are concentrating on the development of tri-axial accelerometers, which is fueling the segment's expansion. For instance, Endevco, a supplier of measuring sensor solutions, declared the introduction of the Model 7298A, a triaxial variable capacitance accelerometer, in October 2021.
Technology (Piezoelectric, Piezoresistive, Capacitive MEMS)
Piezoresistive vibration sensor provide advantages over other types of vibration sensor, including fixed sensitivity and less expensive electronics and cabling requirements. Automotive safety applications like anti-lock brake systems, airbags, and traction control systems frequently include piezoresistive accelerometers. Additionally, piezoresistive accelerometers are better suited for monitoring both static and dynamic accelerations than variable capacitance and optical sensor. The rising use of piezoresistive sensor for intravascular blood pressure monitoring is another factor contributing to the segment's rise.
