Nearly 66 million automobiles were sold worldwide in 2022. Reed switches are often implemented in sensor applications for automobiles. The reed switch utilizes a magnetic float that customizes to the liquid surface for fluid readings, for instance, fuel tank level sensing, and activates a hermetically sealed switching in the stem.
Applications including pacemakers and neuro-stimulators use reed sensors with a high degree of dependability. Additionally, non-critical gadgets including hearing aids and pill cameras as well as diagnostic tools such as scanners and X-ray machines all use the same components.
Since non-ferrous materials may be used to activate magnetic reed switches, this makes them perfect to work with submersible machinery, mechanisms, and the vehicle in the marine and watercraft interior industry. The external on or off management of lights, devices, power, and safety tethers are instances of common use cases. In such instances, the magnetic actuator is installed externally, however, the magnetic reed switch sensor is kept sealed in a watertight environment.
