APAC Market Forecast
In terms of volume, APAC accouns for the largest portion of the global Wi-Fi chipset market. Manufacturers of consumer electronics products can be found in China, South Korea, and Japan, including Sony Corporation in Japan, Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd. in China, and Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. in South Korea. China produces Wi-Fi chipsets at a low cost and has a big pool of consumer electronics producers, which has given Asia Pacific the largest share of the market.
North American Market Statistics
The North America Wi-Fi chipset market will account for a share of 39% by 2037. The growth can be attributed to the increased use of the internet. Over 89% of Americans will have internet connectivity in 2022, up from just over 75% in 2012, according to the International Telecommunication Union. With more than 312 million internet users in 2018, the United States was one of the largest online markets in the world. Government policies that stimulate the development of wireless infrastructure in the area are driving market growth. The Broadband Fund, a government project, was unveiled in October 2019 by the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) for the construction of wireless and broadband infrastructure across the country.
