Flotation Reagents Market size was valued at USD 5.82 billion in 2024 and is likely to cross USD 10.06 billion by 2037, expanding at more than 4.3% CAGR during the forecast period i.e., between 2025-2037. In the year 2025, the industry size of flotation reagents is estimated at USD 6.02 billion. There will be a need for flotation reagents due to the large rise in forthcoming building projects in the mining sector. As an example, two active reverse circulation drilling projects that involved a drilling operation that was finished in 2021 and continued planning for deeper diamond drilling in the projection period are the Cerro Buenos Aires project and the Redondo-Veronica project in Northern Chile. In order to remove valuable minerals from the ores, flotation reagents are needed. As a result, throughout the projected period, there will be more demand for flotation reagents due to these impending mining developments.
The creation of flotation reagents with less of an adverse effect on the environment and better recyclable properties is motivated by the growing emphasis on sustainable mining methods. Concerns about water shortage are drawing more attention to reagents that reduce the amount of water used in flotation operations. To improve separation efficiency, research and development efforts are concentrated on creating reagents that are extremely selective for particular minerals.
