The Prisma satellite, which was tested in the "GALILEO Large Thermal Vacuum Chamber" ACS space simulator, uses advanced electro-optical hyperspectral instrumentation to acquire images of the Earth's surface and return data on the chemical and physical composition of the objects in the scene. The specialized camera takes pictures in a range of wavelengths, from visible to infrared.
