• Trelleborg Sealing Solutions, the leading provider of sealing solutions for aerospace applications has announced to become the largest supplier of aircraft window seals in the world with the acquisition of a major facility in Seattle, Washington, United States. The acquisition has expanded the aerospace capabilities of Trelleborg. Moreover, the purchased plant also produces O-Rings, gaskets, and molded parts, principally for the aerospace industry, as well as window seals for major original equipment manufacturers.
• EagleBurgmann has announced the launch of CobaDGS, the first mechanical seal for compressors with zero emissions. It is a nitrogen-supplied dry gas seal that can withstand high pressure, making it useful for gas network operators' compressors. An additional supply unit can be installed to create nitrogen on-site, reducing shipping expenses. The newly designed CobaDGS totally eliminates leakage in turbo compressors, both while in operation and at rest.  The use of this technique at natural gas compressor stations almost completely eliminates all methane emissions.
